Audrey won first and Molly won second in the Rose Hill Mini Horse Trials in the Jump Start Division at Rose Hill in Anna on Sunday. McKinsey had an unfortunate parting of ways with Tessa and were eliminated on cross country. Happily, there were no injuries. Emma won third in the Tadpole Division. Moms Rebeca and Jenny competed as well and did a great job. Arlee & Dubi rode clear rounds in the Jumper Show in Saturday. Way to go PUPC!
On Sunday afternoon, several D members got together for a Quiz Rally prep session, guided by Olivia and Arlee. Each D member was assigned a topic to study and teach to the group. Topics covered in this meeting included trailer safety, feed, lameness, horse colors & markings and toxic plants.
Several PUPC members competed today at Lazy Dog Ranch in Nevada. Congratulations to Molly who won first place with a double clear jumping round in her move up to the Jump Start Division. Kudos also to Audrey & McKinsey who tied for 2nd in the same Division. Good job Ella, Emma & Maddie for coming out to compete on a cold and windy day. A big shout out to Jordan for volunteering her time today as a cross country judge, to Arlee for a double clear jumping round on Indubitably (a new ride for her), and to mom Carol for a lovely double clear round at Training level on Fiona.
The Griffins hosted a great year-end party with more than 45 members, parents & siblings attending. We especially missed Becki who was home recovering from bronchitis and Leslie who was in the hospital with a wrist fracture. Special thanks to Angie & Arthur for lovingly preparing & serving scrumptious Italian food, to Jenny for organizing the party and the awards, and to Rhonda for putting together a Year-End Video and making keepsake copies for all the members. The girls exchanged gifts and had fun swiping and swapping the favorite items. Diane won the Fundraiser award & Becki won the Commitment award. Many members were recognized for their PC achievements this year. Olivia won the Member of the Year for her hard work mentoring the D members and helping them through their rally and rating preps. Most of the Dads and siblings joined in the fun. It was a wonderful way to close out a terrific year for PUPC.
