Audrey and Molly competed at the Prospering Farms Jumper Show. Both girls competed in the 2'6"to 2'9" division. They did a great job remembering all of the courses and jump-offs! It was a great way to get a head start on their jumping for this season.
Ambra, Anna, Arlee, Emma, Olivia and Ryan competed at the Holly Hill Horse Trials in Benton, Louisiana this weekend. Ambra & Alf rocked Junior Training, leading the division in every phase and finishing in 1st place on their dressage score. Anna & Lady completed their first recognized horse trial ever at Beginner Novice, with three very nice tests. Arlee & Ian finished in 3rd place on their dressage score in Junior Novice B, in their first horse trials together. Emma & Champ finished in 3rd in the Starter Division with no jumping faults. Olivia & Sherman had the best dressage score of the whole show - 21.7 - but an unfortunate disagreement on cross country cost them the blue ribbon in Junior Novice A. Ryan & Dee had double clear jumping rounds in Beginner Novice, finishing on their dressage score. . Ambra was given the Charles Owens Technical Merit Award, given to the rider who displays the best technique and skill on cross country. Ryan, Emma and Anna mucked stalls, grazed horses and cleaned tack at HH to raise money for the Ellie Sawin Fund--they raised $230! The girls and parents enjoyed hanging out together and supporting one another. Lots of fun!
Audrey, Anna, Blair and Molly competed in the Rose Hill Bunny Hop Derby. Audrey got 1st in Beginner Novice, Molly got 2nd and Anna got 6th. Blair got 1st in Training Level. It was a fun day for everyone.
Also, that day Anna did a 4H show and got two 3rds and two 1sts. She ended up with high points in the 10 to 13 year old English Division.
Last weekend, Audrey, Emma, Molly, Maddy and Ryan participated in the second annual Red River Regional D Eventing Rally at Willow Draw. The rally was staffed primarily by C Level and above members, including Ambra, Olivia and Blair from Pony Up. All the teams "scrambled", which means that teams were comprised of competitors from different clubs within the region. This was a really fun day for all the girls - they made new friends and learned to work out of their comfort zone.
