"As a member of The United States Pony Clubs, I stand for the best in sportsmanship as well as in horsemanship. I shall compete for the enjoyment of the game well-played and take winning or losing in stride, remembering that without good manners and good temper, sport loses its cause for being. I shall endeavor to maintain the best tradition of the ancient and noble skill of horsemanship, always treating my horse with consideration due a partner."

PONY CLUB IS:
....FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH WHO LOVE HORSES....
The United States Pony Clubs are equestrian clubs for young people ages 6 - 25. The name "pony" means that members are young people; it is not a reference to the size of the horse. In fact youth of all ages and horses of all sizes take part in USPC. Members progress through an evaluation system called "ratings". Each level requires a member to learn more about horses, how to care for them, and how to become accomplished, balanced riders. There are over 600 local chapters of USPC in 48 states. USPC is one of the leading youth equestrian organizations in the world, represented in over 30 countries.

PONY CLUB IS:
....HORSEMANSHIP AND SPORTSMANSHIP....
USPC's primary goals for its members are safe riding and horse care. Members participate in team competitions called "rallies", each of which covers a specific English equestrian sport. Competitors learn the importance of cooperation, teamwork and horse management while showcasing their riding skills. Regional Rallies and National Championships are held each year. Pony Up Pony Club meets regularly. Some meetings are "mounted" (with horses) and focus on riding fundamentals; others are "unmounted" (without horses) and focus on horse management and care. Area trainers and upper level Pony Club members provide instruction in horse management and in show jumping, dressage, eventing, & other English disciplines.
